Bhergaon College,

the only premier and higher educational institute in Bhergaon, Udalguri ,which is the Sub-divisional headquarter of Bhergaon administrative Sub-division.There is no denying the fact that, a country or a society cannot adapt with the rapidly changing world, without proper education. In the initial stage, the local intellectuals of Bhergaon area, Bhergaon Development Committee, Bhergaon Anchalic Bodo Sahitya Sabha, senior political leaders including senior teachers of various educational institutions and various students organizations of Bhergaon area established Bhergaon Junior College in 2005. Later, for spreading and promoting higher education and dissemination of knowledge the Senior (degree) section was introduced in 2007, and thus Bhergaon College was established in 2007, with much enthusiasm and overwhelming response of students and guardians. The academic session of degree section was started functioning from 2008 under Gauhati University. Later, it was affiliated to Bodoland University in the year 2017.

The college is located in Bhergaon (Mahaliapara) Udalguri district, in its own alloted land area of 30 bigha.The College was set up with the sole objective of promoting the need of higher education to the rural and economically backward people of the region. In the early stage, it was a purely venture institution, and presently Bhergaon College College is provincialised under BTR peace Accord 6.3 clause by the Government of BTC, as per the norms of the Assam Education Act, 2017, Government of Assam.
